Missy Acker is a wildlife artist specializing in birds, which are notorious for being inconsiderate live models. Armed with nothing but a point-and-shoot camera, she learned various tips and strategies for taking her own reference photos, and then using those photos to inform her studio work.
The strategies Missy will share are applicable to all subjects, from wildlife to still-life. Using her own photos and artwork as examples, Missy will discuss her process from start to finish, including: angles to consider while taking photos in the field, selecting suitable photos to work from and how to make best use of them in the studio.

A recording of the demonstration will be available to ticket-holders until November 30, 2024. Tickets must be purchased in advance to be able to access the recording.
